Raytheon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join our team in the Systems Engineering Directorate. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the integration and analysis of radar systems, working closely with our team of experts to identify issues, generate solutions, and verify their implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop concepts of operations for radar systems
- Design and develop radar processing algorithms
- Develop radar software requirements
- Analyze radar performance data using statistical and numerical methods
- Develop analysis tools to support problem identification and resolution
- Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions
- Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active and in-scope Secret US security clearance
- Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar systems and software architectures
- Experience with signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments
- Design experience in radar system areas such as antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS
- Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++
- Experience with technical writing and oral presentations
- Masters/PhD in a STEM field
- Systems Engineering experience on DoD systems
