The Role

This role is responsible for managing capital controls for Enterprise Operations, including budget management, prioritization, progress reporting, team metrics, performance indicators, financial results, and forecasts. The successful candidate will meet and present to executive-level management to represent the team's performance, financial, and unit results and forecasts.

The role will also work cross-functionally with other operational and support groups, including AMO, Sales, Architecture/Engineering, Planning, Product, Service Delivery, and Finance. Additionally, the position will lead our Operations materials supply chain management team, responsible for timely processing and delivery of materials for network capacity augments.

This is a specialized role requiring a deep understanding of metrics and analytics, with a background in forecasting and trend analysis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help transform how we manage capital allocation and gain exposure to many parts of the business with leadership interaction.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Performance Analysis and Forecasting, including key metric dashboards
  2. Financial Reporting and Forecasting for completed disconnects
  3. Financial Reporting and Forecasting for parallel services
  4. Financial Reporting and Forecasting for re-rate impacts and follow-on activity
  5. Financial Reporting of associated costs (e.g., capacity augment) and waived fees (e.g., building extensions, porting)
  6. Lead the capital budget reporting processes, ensuring data accuracy, transparency, and enabling real-time decision-making

The successful candidate will work closely with key stakeholders, including FP&A, Operations, and senior leadership, to prioritize projects based on strategic impact, resource availability, and operational needs.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance roles, with a strong emphasis on capital budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate across multiple business units and functions
  • Proven ability to develop and implement financial frameworks and processes that drive organizational change and impact
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization

The successful candidate will also have knowledge of SAP, PowerPoint, Excel modeling, and PowerBI, with preferred knowledge of Netbuild, Fireworks, and SQL.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location-based pay ranges are as follows:

  • $148,630 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD
  • $156,450 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY
  • $164,280 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI
  • $172,100 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications, and other business needs.
