Job Summary:

The Child Welfare Caseworker will be responsible for:

  • Providing case management services to clients and families, including developing and implementing case plans, conducting home visits, and coordinating with community resources.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers, therapists, and other professionals, to ensure comprehensive support for clients and families.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate documentation of case activities and progress in our database.
  • Participating in court activities, including preparing and submitting court documentation, and attending court hearings as necessary.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of community resources, program eligibility requirements, and key contact persons to ensure effective referrals and service coordination.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in a Human Services field, with a preference for a degree in Social Work.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in child welfare or a related field, with certification in child welfare case management within one year of hire.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to drive locally and throughout the state, with a valid Florida driver's license and insurance.
  • Certified First Aid/CPR and crisis intervention training.
