Family Support Professional

The Family Support Worker will serve at-risk families in the community through the Family Support Program. This role involves engaging families in services, linking them to community resources, and facilitating evidence-based interventions to increase the safety, permanency, and well-being of children and families.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a caseload of 10-12 families, engaging them in services and facilitating evidence-based interventions.
- Develop and monitor individualized family service plans, assisting families with completing outlined tasks and goals.
- Link families to community resources to address identified barriers and assist with acquiring tangible resources from the Compassion Center.
- Collaborate with families and the Family Support Supervisor to review cases, training, professional development, and program development.
- Complete data entry, maintain contract compliance, and document required information in a timely and accurate manner.
- Two years of experience working with families in the welfare system or at-risk families.
- Bachelor's degree in social work, Human Services, or a related field.
- Demonstrate an understanding of child welfare issues, including trauma-informed care best practices, setting boundaries, and a strength-based perspective.
- Relate positively to caregivers needing support services and establish effective relationships in varying settings.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with client and agency information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
- Commit to living in a manner consistent with the Baptist Faith and Message.
- Have had a personal conversion experience with Jesus Christ and been scripturally baptized.
- Possess a sense of commitment to ministry through vocation.
This role requires the ability to work in stressful conditions and remain focused for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds is helpful.
Work EnvironmentJob activities are performed in the community and in a typical office environment. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and travel throughout the county.
