Lead Financial Analyst for Aerospace Solutions

Position Overview:
Howmet Aerospace stands as a premier global supplier of innovative engineered solutions tailored for the aerospace and transportation sectors.

Our core operations are centered around jet engine components, aerospace fastening systems, and titanium structural elements that are vital for high-stakes performance and efficiency in aerospace and defense applications, alongside forged wheels for commercial transport.

As we embark on the next chapter of developing more fuel-efficient and quieter aerospace engines, we are in search of a dynamic Financial Analyst who possesses strong energy and motivation. This role will be under the guidance of the Controller.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the shop floor cost management system.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial and operational performance.
  • Manage monthly tracking and reconciliation of accounts receivable discrepancies.
  • Facilitate month-end closing processes and reporting, including account reconciliations and coordination of closing entries across various locations.
  • Take ownership of daily reporting systems and their execution.
  • Support capital appropriation and fixed asset management.
  • Analyze plant expenditures and lead spend management initiatives.
  • Extract data and develop comprehensive reports.
  • Engage in financial analysis and process enhancement for special projects as necessary.
  • Prepare annual and quarterly corporate tax reports.
  • Provide support through ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls.

Qualifications:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of financial experience within manufacturing environments.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; verification of employment eligibility will be conducted at the time of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred focus in Accounting or Finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • MBA is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
  • Experience in querying databases.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Background in cost accounting.
