Position Overview

Howmet Aerospace is a prominent global supplier of advanced engineered solutions tailored for the aerospace and transportation sectors. Our core operations focus on components for jet engines, fastening systems for aerospace applications, and titanium structural elements essential for critical performance and efficiency in aerospace and defense sectors, alongside forged wheels for commercial transport.

This role is situated in the Whitehall Casting Operation and involves the inspection of cored wax patterns and cores utilizing nondestructive testing methods, such as radiography, to identify harmful discontinuities, inclusions, and other anomalies beneath the surface. The position also entails conducting quality audits and making disposition decisions (accepting or rejecting) based on engineering specifications. Additionally, visual inspections of all DS and SC wax clusters are performed prior to their immersion in the monoshell slurry, with sorting of those needing rework.

Availability Requirements: Candidates must be prepared to work across various shifts, including first, second, third, and weekends.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of two years of continuous work experience or six months of continuous manufacturing experience, with all experience being post-high school.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required, and verification of employment eligibility will be conducted at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with industrial x-ray processes is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and possess strong communication skills.
