Lead Financial Analyst for Aerospace Solutions

Position Overview:
Howmet Aerospace is a prominent global provider of sophisticated engineered solutions tailored for the aerospace and transportation sectors. This role is situated within our Ti-Ingot Operations, where we are in search of a dynamic Financial Analyst who exhibits high energy and motivation. The selected candidate will report directly to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the shop floor cost management system.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of financial and operational performance.
  • Manage monthly tracking and reconciliation of accounts receivable discrepancies.
  • Facilitate month-end closing processes and reporting, including account reconciliations and coordination of closing entries across various locations.
  • Take ownership of daily reporting systems and ensure their effective execution.
  • Support capital appropriation and fixed asset management.
  • Analyze plant expenditures and lead spend management initiatives.
  • Extract data and develop comprehensive reports.
  • Perform financial analysis and process development for special projects as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly corporate tax reports.
  • Provide support through ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Alcoa's Sarbanes-Oxley requirements for internal controls.

Qualifications:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of financial experience within manufacturing environments.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory, and verification will be required at the time of hire.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Preferred concentration in Accounting or Finance.
  • Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Experience with database querying.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities.
  • Familiarity with cost accounting principles.
