Job Title: Account Payable Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Account Payable Specialist to join our team in Nashville, TN. This is a direct hire opportunity with an in-office schedule.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts payable workflow, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments while meeting deadlines.
  • Assist in administering an electronic invoice routing system, establishing routing rules, and troubleshooting system issues for efficiency and growth.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including invoice coding, tax payments, employee reimbursements, and vendor record maintenance.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, manage recurring invoices, and develop strong relationships with vendors and employees to resolve issues.
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales/use tax returns, year-end 1099s, and assist with financial audits, ensuring compliance with regulations and deadlines.
  • Provide management with regular reports, assist with monthly closing, and maintain accurate records within ERP systems.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years accounts payable and vendor administration experience
  • Minimum 5 years accounts payable experience within real estate development or construction industries
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Preferred Skills:
  • Sage 300 CRE ERP platform
  • Paperless Environments (PVault)
  • Yardi Systems
