Position Overview

The Administrative Coordinator for the School of Nursing plays a pivotal role in delivering essential support to the academic unit, ensuring smooth operational processes and effective communication within the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee office functions, including the onboarding and supervision of administrative staff and student workers.
  • Manage program requisitions and maintain accurate budget documentation.
  • Organize and update program records and financial reports.
  • Assist Program Directors in preparing materials for accreditation and self-assessment.
  • Coordinate orientation sessions for new students and disseminate vital information to the School of Nursing community.
  • Compile and analyze data related to graduates, students, and applicants.
  • Facilitate the admissions process, ensuring all logistical aspects are handled efficiently.
  • Collaborate with facilities management to address departmental needs and service requests.
  • Document and distribute minutes from faculty meetings.
  • Process requests for conference and classroom spaces.
  • Support the organization of ceremonial events for the School of Nursing.
  • Ensure that all program publications are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Regularly review and update the program's online presence for consistency and correctness.
  • Manage incoming communications and direct messages as necessary.
  • Assist in tracking departmental budgets, including travel-related expenses.
  • Order necessary clinical and office supplies, and create purchase orders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Adhere to safety protocols in all aspects of work.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a relevant field.
  • 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in an administrative capacity.
  • Experience in higher education or clinical settings is desirable.
