Position Overview

This role involves monitoring designated areas, including public parking facilities and urban streets, to enforce parking laws and regulations. The successful candidate will address public inquiries and carry out additional responsibilities as required. Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize databases to gather relevant information for investigations.
  • Conduct patrols to identify parking infractions and ensure public safety.
  • Issue warnings or citations as necessary.
  • Provide testimony in legal or legislative settings when required.
  • Communicate effectively regarding incidents or emergencies using communication devices.
  • Monitor environmental conditions to identify potential hazards.
  • Assist in training new employees on proper procedures.
  • Educate the public on parking policies and restrictions.
  • Maintain accurate operational records.
  • Support motorists and pedestrians as needed.
  • Direct traffic around obstructions and stalled vehicles.
  • Report any issues with parking meters.
  • Prepare detailed reports on activities and incidents.
  • Engage in intercultural competency training programs.

Qualifications

Working Conditions: This position requires the ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to work in various weather conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid state driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in clerical or customer service roles.
