Key Responsibilities
  • Galley Operations: Direct and oversee team members in food preparation, production, and presentation in assigned areas, ensuring high-quality dishes are served to our guests.
  • Team Management: Supervise, assist, and train team members, ensuring they meet performance, appearance, dress, and personal conduct standards.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Implement and execute food handling and cleaning procedures, ensuring compliance with USPH standards and company policies.
  • Inventory Management: Prepare daily requisitions for Executive Chef and monitor inventory levels, ensuring accurate ordering and minimizing waste.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Supervise and inspect overall operation cleanliness, ensuring adherence to cleaning schedules and checklists.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Report malfunctioning equipment or furnishings in need of repair or refurbishing to the Executive Sous Chef.
  • Communication: Work closely with galley leadership and other department leaders to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3+ years in a 5-star+ hotel, cruise ship, or high-profile restaurant, with experience in a supervisory position and ability to provide orientation and training.
  • Certifications: Certification from an accredited advanced food safety program, with extensive knowledge in VSP preferred.
  • Skills: Multi-tasking, culinary expertise, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Education: Degree from an accredited culinary college or university preferred.
