Job Title: Pastry Chef de Partie

Per Se, a renowned New York destination, is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. As a key member of our pastry department, you will collaborate with our Pastry Chef and Sous Chef to maintain and elevate our culinary excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Pastry Production: Assist in the daily production and presentation of a variety of pastries, confections, desserts, and baked goods.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Pastry Sous Chef to fulfill requests and maintain the seamless operation of the pastry department.
  • Quality and Consistency: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and technical execution in all pastry creations.
  • Team Support: Support and work collaboratively with the pastry team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Efficiency and Adaptability: Handle a variety of tasks, from preparing desserts for service to crafting last-minute delights for special private dining events.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 2 years of experience in a fine culinary environment, preferably within a Michelin-starred restaurant.
  • Certifications: Possess a valid State Health Certificate and HACCP Training is preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and impeccable cleanliness standards.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-demand environment.
  • Desire for Excellence: A deep enthusiasm for food, beverage, and hospitality, with a particular focus on pastry.
