Job Overview

Position Summary: The Inside Territory Sales Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of approximately 50 Inside Sales Key Accounts, focusing on developing and enhancing a profitable sales base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan and organize sales activities to nurture and expand Key Accounts.
  • Facilitate the transition of accounts to Outside Territory Sales Managers when appropriate, ensuring a smooth handover.
  • Collaborate with the Area Sales Manager to assess account readiness for graduation to outside management.
  • Drive revenue growth and improve gross margins through effective account management.
  • Recruit, train, and support new dealers to enhance their business performance.
  • Prepare compelling proposals for potential customers to drive sales opportunities.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key customer decision-makers through proactive communication.
  • Oversee all aspects of the Inside Sales Key Account customer base.
  • Utilize CRM systems to keep customer and sales data up to date.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with corporate office staff and field sales teams.
  • Gather and relay local market insights to the Sales Manager for strategic planning.
  • Develop an annual business plan in collaboration with management, outlining strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing within the assigned territory.
  • Engage in additional projects and responsibilities as needed to support business objectives.

Work Environment:

  • Operates under established guidelines and procedures.
  • Work is closely monitored and supervised.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Preferred knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Understanding of sales promotion and advertising techniques.
  • Ability to educate and influence partners regarding HVAC products and programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation abilities.
  • Analytical skills for forecasting sales and performance metrics.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated integrity, sound judgment, and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor are essential for maintaining a positive company image.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of managing a territory from a home office.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel occasionally.

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience.
  • HVAC experience is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
