Job Overview

VPG Enterprise is a comprehensive Commercial General Contractor in search of a dedicated full-time Assistant Project Manager to enhance our operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee various projects during the construction phase to ensure optimal quality, budget compliance, and timely completion.
  • Track and maintain project timelines within budget constraints, adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Responsible for obtaining, creating, monitoring, and evaluating all project-related documentation as directed by the Project Manager.
  • Compile and refresh project status reports, manage purchase orders and invoices, and maintain thorough records for due diligence and financial oversight.
  • Ensure proper approval processes for accounts payable and receivable.
  • Promote safe working conditions, supervise contractor safety practices, and adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Exhibit a proactive approach to fulfilling client and project needs efficiently and economically.
Experience and Educational Background:
  • Applicants should possess a minimum of five years' experience as an Assistant Project Manager within a General Contracting or sub-trade environment.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Building Construction or a related field is required or should be pursued.
General Qualifications:
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and conduct project cost analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with team members, external contractors, city officials, and stakeholders.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to meet overlapping deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Excel is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong customer service orientation is necessary.
