Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Operations Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and effective. This includes managing work orders, coordinating with stakeholders, and implementing projects to improve our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Fire and Safety Liaison with Risk Management, coordinating inspections and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Act as a department liaison with multiple stakeholders, including staff, students, and external partners.
  • Audit work orders to identify trends and patterns, and develop strategies to improve facilities management.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of facilities.
  • Develop and implement inventory tracking systems to optimize facilities management.
  • Assist with day-to-day facilities operations, including turnover and summer projects.
  • Provide access control and other support services as needed.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability in integrated logistical planning of facilities-related projects.
  • Skills in planning and coordinating complex assignments and projects across multiple organizational units.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituents, both orally and in writing.
  • Proficiency in Office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to supervise and work effectively with professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field.
  • Experience working in Higher Education or Residence Hall environments.
  • Experience with Work Order management systems.
  • Experience with Fire and Safety protocols.
