Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as an Assistant Director of Facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facilities, ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, faculty, and staff. You will work closely with our Risk Management team to coordinate fire safety inspections and develop strategies to prevent accidents and injuries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Fire and Safety Liaison with Risk Management, coordinating inspections and developing safety protocols.
  • Manage work orders, identifying trends and patterns to optimize facilities operations.
  • Develop and implement budget plans for facilities-related projects.
  • Supervise and work effectively with professional and non-professional personnel.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively.
  • Proficiency in Office software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Higher Education or Student Affairs.
  • Experience working in a residence hall environment.
  • Experience with work order management systems.
  • Experience in fire and safety protocols.
