Position Overview

The Compliance Analyst I will support the management of Special Revenue Funds, ensuring adherence to educational initiatives across the district. This role involves critical oversight of compliance processes, budget formulation, and training for administrative personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the compliance manager in overseeing districtwide educational initiatives and ensuring alignment with federal and state regulations.
  • Support the development of budgets for ESSA funds, ensuring proper allocation and compliance.
  • Monitor the Campus Improvement Plan (CIP) to guarantee compliance with ESSA guidelines and alignment with the District Improvement Plan (DIP).
  • Provide updates and procedural information to administrators and office staff regarding ESSA.
  • Conduct training sessions for administrators and office personnel on effective management of grant funds.
  • Perform audits on Title I campuses to verify compliance with federal and state Title I activities.
  • Analyze campus Title I budgets to assist school leadership in managing their financial resources effectively.
  • Compile and prepare data for grant applications and compliance reporting.
  • Review and process essential district documentation, including budget transfers and travel reports.
  • Evaluate proposed Title I expenditures to ensure they meet established guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with Human Capital Management to reconcile Title I positions and assist in salary monitoring processes.
  • Support the reconciliation of payroll transactions for grant-funded employees and manage certification processes.
  • Facilitate training on compliance with Title I regulations through ESSA and district procedures.
  • Stay informed on legislative and professional developments affecting district funding and responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with time and effort reporting requirements for federally funded positions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • Familiarity with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) is essential.
  • Understanding of business management principles, including strategic planning and resource allocation.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze policy and financial data effectively.
  • Strong skills in monitoring and controlling resources.
  • Capability to evaluate compliance with budgetary standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Oracle.
