Job Description

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Fertility Centers of Illinois, LLC. As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome patients and visitors, answer phone calls, and direct messages to the appropriate individuals in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a liaison between clinical staff, physicians, and management, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Schedule patient appointments, complete patient registration, and review insurance status, patient balances, and missing information.
  • Focus on patient well-being, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA compliance.
  • Re-verify patient demographics and insurance information as needed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Collect co-payments and other payments due, balancing payments and deposits, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Oversee waiting areas, monitoring patient wait times, and communicating delays to patients.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of office supplies and forms, reporting needs to the Office Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required, Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff, and other customers.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to use independent thinking, sound judgment, and creativity when resolving issues.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and effectively handle challenging situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel between clinic locations as needed.
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures and office machines, including computer, fax, copier, etc.
  • Ability to actively listen, resolve conflict, and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
