Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Direction: Provide leadership and direction to hourly personnel in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise, schedule, evaluate, train, and motivate hourly personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely and efficiently.
  • Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure environmental compliance through proper knowledge and enforcement of procedures and requirements, and report hazards, near misses, and incidents through Enablon.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain good lines of communication among departments, crews, other supervisors, and management, and participate in and support the CARE about safety program.
  • Performance Management: Set example, sustain open communications, coach hourly employees, provide training opportunities, set goals, conduct performance evaluations, and remedy employee work issues.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Be responsible for equipment uptime and account for equipment downtime, and ensure direct reports have the training and tools to complete jobs safely and efficiently.
  • Quality Control: Monitor product grade and ensure process adjustments are made to ensure all products (both intermediate and finished) are on spec.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years supervisory/management experience, preferably in manufacturing operations
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, both internally and externally, and ability to achieve results through others
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of computer systems, preferred system knowledge in SAP and/or JDE
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazardous conditions. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
