Position Summary
The Deputy Director of Programs serves as a key assistant to the Director of Programs, fostering a productive working relationship while supporting the management and implementation of the Programs Department. Key responsibilities include grant reporting, record keeping, staff development, and material distribution. The role demands strong organizational and administrative skills, effective communication with staff, external partners, and participants' families.
Duties and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will assist in strategic planning, provide leadership to program teams, engage stakeholders, analyze data, mentor staff, plan events, manage budgets, and represent the organization at public forums. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends is required.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required. Must have a license and reliable transportation. Knowledge of community-based education and child/youth development is essential. Cultural competency experience working in African American and Latino communities is highly valued. Proficiency in computer software applications and event planning skills are necessary. Exceptional administrative and communication skills are also required.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary range of $59,000 - $63,000. Additional information about the organization is available on our website.
