Job Summary

LADGOV CORPORATION seeks a highly skilled and experienced Protestant Religious Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, this individual will be responsible for overseeing the Protestant Religious Education program, ensuring the highest level of quality and excellence in all aspects of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Volunteer Management: Serve as the primary Protestant RE Line-of-Sight Supervisor for all events with childcare volunteers, recruiting and managing a team of volunteers to ensure seamless execution of events.
  • Volunteer Identification and Tracking: Maintain accurate records of volunteers' identification badges, ensuring proper display and use of childcare worker identification, and overseeing the sign-in/out process for non-Specified Volunteers.
  • Volunteer Supervision: Serve as the Volunteer Supervisor for all RE volunteers, writing position descriptions for all RE volunteer positions and submitting them to the LPC via the PCC.
  • Facility Management: Submit facility requests to the PCC for all scheduled RE events on chapel property, de-conflicting RE scheduling/facility issues with the Facility Manager.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Attend weekly chapel staff meetings to stay updated on chapel operations and calendar, report on ongoing assignments, projects, and weekly tasks, and share feedback from Protestant RE volunteers.
  • Advisory Council Participation: Attend Protestant Advisory Council (PAC) meetings as a non-voting member, briefing the PAC on relevant RE issues.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Religious Education or a Master's Degree in Education or its equivalent, with experience in Protestant theology or working towards the Master's degree.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years' experience as a Protestant RE Coordinator/Director.
