Job Title:

Front office Coordinator and Billing Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to join our team at Restore Physical Therapy PS. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for managing patient flow, coordinating appointments, and handling billing and accounts receivable duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and audit patient charge slips and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Obtain missing information, such as charge slips, patient demographics, and insurance details.
  • Enter charge data into our billing system, maintaining up-to-date records and minimizing errors.
  • Mails/transmits insurance claims and patient statements in a timely manner.
  • Prepare attachments, like Explanation of Benefits copies, for secondary billing purposes.
  • Process various forms of payments, including cash, checks, and credit cards.
  • Follow up on outstanding accounts receivables with patients and third-party payors, rebill claims, and initiate account correspondence or phone calls as needed.
  • Respond to incoming correspondences or phone calls, addressing patient concerns and providing support.
  • Create and manage patient payment plans, ensuring seamless financial interactions.
  • Maintain organized files on all documentation, including charge slips, Explanation of Benefits, and client/patient information.
  • Generate and distribute reports, providing insights into practice performance and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 2-3 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Business acumen and problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and service orientation
  • Familiarity with WebPT and Therabill is a plus
Estimated Salary Range:

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
