At Core Group Resources Careers, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of metal components and structures.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team of metalworkers, welders, and fabricators, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the efficient and safe production of metalwork.
  • Develop and implement work schedules and allocate tasks to ensure timely completion of metal fabrication projects, meeting or exceeding project standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address any personnel issues or conflicts, promoting a culture of safety and quality.

Quality Control and Assurance:

  • Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all metalwork meets or exceeds project standards, adhering to industry regulations and safety protocols.
  • Inspect and verify the quality of metal parts and assemblies, making adjustments or corrections as needed to ensure compliance with project specifications.

Resource and Inventory Management:

  • Oversee the inventory of metal materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring adequate supply and proper maintenance to support fabrication operations.
  • Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to order necessary materials and equipment, maintaining accurate records of fabrication activities.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on production progress, quality metrics, and safety performance to senior management, highlighting areas for improvement and recommendations for process enhancements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, manufacturing, or a related field, plus 2 years of experience in a related field, or an Associate's degree in a related field plus 4 years of experience, or 8 years of direct experience in shipbuilding or ship repair.
  • Knowledge of marine-related equipment, ship repair and construction techniques, sequencing of ship repair activities, and complex mathematical principles as applied to shipping activities.
  • Effective leadership, communication, and team-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with personal computer and system/platform applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets.
