Position Overview:

We are collaborating with a prominent aerospace manufacturer located in Everett, WA, known for its expertise in designing and producing aircraft, aerospace equipment, and systems. With a legacy that began in 1863, this organization is devoted to offering innovative solutions that address the dynamic requirements of the aerospace industry. We are in search of seasoned Metal Fabrication Specialists who are ready to embrace their next challenge in a complex and evolving work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute intricate rework and repair tasks as directed by MRB or other authorizations, ensuring timely completion with first-pass quality.
  • Identify the most effective methods for accomplishing all assigned duties when existing planning and tooling are insufficient.
  • Perform a variety of tasks including drilling, reaming, cold working, and replicating close-tolerance holes typical of rework or replacement parts and assemblies, as well as reinstalling all necessary details and assemblies.
  • Source replacement parts and assemblies according to drawings and/or MRB instructions, achieving all required dimensions and tolerances.
  • Conduct all bench and machine operations necessary to fabricate, rework, and repair parts and assemblies as outlined in work instructions.
  • Design and create any assembly aids and tools required to resolve challenges encountered during rework and repair operations.
  • Monitor all assigned manufacturing areas for potential customer service opportunities related to Daher Aerospace.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a comparable role is required.
  • A&P License is preferred.
  • Proficiency in reading and speaking English is essential for job performance.
  • Experience in a customer service-oriented environment is advantageous.
  • Capability to obtain confined space certification and perform rework operations in challenging environments, including working at heights using lifts and cranes.
  • Experience across all areas of the manufacturing facility, from major structures to final assembly and the flight line, is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Boeing specifications and procedures, along with the ability to read and interpret Boeing drawings and work instructions, is required.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as scales, micrometers, ball gauges, calipers, drills, rivet guns, squeeze guns, and other hand tools necessary for task completion.
  • Ability to pass Boeing background checks and maintain necessary access and badges, including compliance with ITAR, CMES, REDARS, and SQIS.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with factory customers (Boeing) while adhering to the Boeing QMS for rework operations on Daher Aerospace hardware.
