IT Support Specialist

The IT Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the IT department, aligning with the strategic goals of Pivotal Solutions Inc. This position requires hands-on expertise in managing IT assets, procurement processes, and providing comprehensive support for personal computers, printers, and various IT administrative tasks. The individual will collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments to implement cost-effective and secure technological solutions, aiming to minimize downtime and enhance user support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the liaison for IT compliance by overseeing processes related to user security and documentation.
  • Ensure regular backups of personal computers and server data as necessary.
  • Provision end-user services, including personal computers, telecommunication devices, and other necessary tools.
  • Deliver assistance to end users in resolving software, hardware, and service-related issues through help desk support.
  • Conduct research on potential technology solutions to support procurement initiatives.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology.
  • Manage asset administration for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Maintain consistent communication with executives, department heads, and end users regarding relevant IT activities.
  • Provide essential after-hours support when required.

Qualifications

A university degree in computer science or equivalent experience of 7 years in a related field.

  • Extensive experience in application support for ERP and other business software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the organization's objectives and goals.
