About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a key member of our cost management team, you will play a crucial role in delivering large-scale technical commercial developments and achieving excellent outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Planning and Estimation: Provide accurate and detailed cost plans, including conceptual, programming, and detailed estimates.
  • Procurement and Contract Management: Assist with feasibility studies, write procurement reports, manage pre-qualification stages, produce bid lists, and compile contractual documents.
  • Cost Control and Variance Management: Participate in post-contract cost variances and change control processes, and refer major changes to the line manager.
  • Cost Checking and Valuation: Manage cost checks, carry out valuations on larger projects, and ensure timely and accurate cost checking and valuation processes.
  • Reporting and Communication: Produce monthly post-contract cost reports and present to clients, and maintain liaison with clients and other consultants at all project stages.
  • Leadership and Development: Provide leadership to the cost management team, identify opportunities for business development, and report to the line manager.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years post-graduate experience working on large-scale commercial real estate or relatable large-scale construction projects.
  • Technical Skills: Good technical experience in all cost management areas, proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Navisworks, and/or other related computer software.
  • Education: College degree in Engineering, Construction Management with a Technical Focus, Quantity Surveyor, or related technical field.
