Job Title: Airline Wheelchair Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airline Wheelchair Supervisor to join our team at Bags, a SP+ Company. As a Wheelchair Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the wheelchair operation at an airport facility, ensuring that all passengers requiring assistance are provided with exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the wheelchair operation to ensure efficient and safe transportation of passengers
  • Assist passengers with moving luggage to their vehicles, taxi stands, parking shuttle stations, and rental car stations
  • Communicate effectively with passengers and colleagues to ensure seamless service
  • Complete wheelchair or incident reports as necessary
  • Follow dispatcher gate orders and maintain a friendly and positive attitude
  • Exceed customer service standards and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues and airport authorities

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able to clear a background and drug screen
  • At least one year of supervisory experience
  • Airline experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and push a loaded wheelchair up to 300lbs up and down inclines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Appearance Guidelines:

Employees are expected to present a professional business-like image at all times. This includes wearing clean and well-maintained approved uniforms on shift.

Work Environment:

This is a physically demanding role that requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting. The employee must be able to move quickly and safely in a fast-paced airport environment.
