Job Summary

The LSU Health New Orleans is seeking a highly skilled Manager of Sponsored Research and Development to oversee the development, management, and compliance of the Cancer Center Grants Office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify grant opportunities and work with researchers, clinicians, and Grant Specialists to develop, coordinate, and submit grant applications.
  • Provide grant management oversight, including grant reporting to funding agencies and department heads.
  • Ensure compliance with required grant reporting and administration by federal, state, and local entities.
  • Work closely with the Contracts and Budget & Finance team and Pre and Post-award Grant Specialists to ensure award reconciliation and timely disbursement.
  • Manage and audit the accounting and finance functions of the department's federal, institutional, and private grants.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional related experience, with knowledge of OMB Circular A-21 principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact with researchers, clinicians, and administrative team members.
  • Experience working with federal granting agencies is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Additional years of related professional experience may be considered in lieu of education.
