Your Role
The Facilities Maintenance Associate plays a crucial role in upholding the cleanliness and orderliness of communal areas throughout the property. This position is vital in creating a welcoming atmosphere, and it also involves preparing apartments for new residents.


Key Responsibilities

• Regularly inspect all areas of the community to ensure cleanliness and remove any litter, debris, or animal waste.

• Prioritize safety by promptly addressing any hazardous conditions (e.g., changing light bulbs, securing doors, and eliminating trip hazards).

• Conduct trash removal from vacant apartments, disposing of any abandoned items, trash, or boxes.

• Assist with apartment preparation tasks as needed.

• Maintain a clean and safe environment in the clubhouse, office, model units, and all other shared spaces.

• Ensure dumpster areas are tidy and ready for waste collection.

• Oversee the upkeep of landscaping, including watering plants and maintaining grass.

• Prepare apartments to meet the highest standards before new residents move in.

• Report any maintenance issues or necessary repairs to the supervisor, such as damaged carpets or windows.

• Collaborate with the Community Manager or Maintenance Supervisor regarding maintenance or aesthetic concerns that require further attention.

• Respond to emergencies in accordance with established protocols.

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

• Enhance resident satisfaction by meeting or exceeding their expectations.

• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Lead/Supervisor or Community Manager.


Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.

• Availability for a flexible work schedule, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call hours.

• Capability to navigate the property, including climbing stairs and working in various weather conditions.

• Physical ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, climb stairs, push, pull, and carry supplies as needed.

• Capacity to stand for extended periods.

• Occasional travel to assist at other locations may be required.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
