About the Role

As a Maintenance Technician III at Jones Lang LaSalle IP, Inc., you will lead a team of service technicians in the installation and repair of automated packaging and distribution equipment. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for complex problems and managing projects. You will also help train and mentor service and contract technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain and Troubleshoot Conveyor Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot all conveyor systems in the building to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Lead and Audit Preventative Maintenance Procedures: Lead and audit preventative maintenance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Install, Maintain, and Troubleshoot Electrical and Electronic Components: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo-eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, and other electrical and electronic components.
  • Create and Close Out Work Orders: Create and close out work orders with accurate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
  • Maintain Positive Working Relationships: Maintain a positive working relationship across all Operations facilities.
  • Develop Training Plans: Develop training plans for service technicians to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Develop Work Plans for Emergency Repairs: Develop work plans for emergency repairs of critical assets to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Meet Physical Demands: Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting parts and tools weighing up to 49 pounds, standing for long periods, and working in small spaces.
Basic Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Associate's or higher degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience working with automated conveyors and controls, electrical and electronic principles, National Electrical Code (NEC), and industrial electronics.
  • Skills: Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs, work order management, and a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Physical Demands

  • Lifting and Carrying: Lifting parts and tools weighing up to 49 pounds.
