About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst/Business Strategist to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL). As a key member of our Financial and Business Services Group, you will play a critical role in supporting the financial success and operational efficiency of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Manage and analyze program funding, task planning, and financial reporting requirements to ensure contract compliance and identify potential financial risks.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare responses to proposals for IDIQ contracts, grants, and work for industry solicitations, and provide leadership and support to the Programs Financial Services Section.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Participate in lab-wide committees, engage in team meetings, and establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including staff, Government sponsors, and all levels of management.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare routine financial analysis to forecast and identify potential funding and period of performance risks, and provide financial reports in support of contract requirements and sponsors.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience in financial cost analysis and proposal preparation, preferably in a DoD contracting environment or equivalent experience.
  • Skills: Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite application, fluent with various financial reporting software applications, and ability to prioritize/manage multiple assignments and remain responsive in a dynamic environment.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance prior to starting and ultimately a Secret clearance.
