About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ambulatory Surgical Center Registered Nurse to join our team at HealthEcareers - Client. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Patient-Centered Care
    • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
    • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
    • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Lead and Participate in Interdisciplinary Teams
    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure clear understanding of patient needs and care plans.
    • Participate in shared governance initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote excellence in patient care.
    • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health literacy and self-management skills.
  • Contribute to a Culture of Safety and Quality
    • Identify and report safety concerns and near misses to ensure a culture of transparency and accountability.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines to ensure delivery of high-quality care.
  • Develop and Maintain Professional Skills
    • Pursue ongoing education and professional development to enhance clinical expertise and leadership skills.
    • Participate in peer review and feedback to promote continuous learning and improvement.
    • Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure compliance and excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
    • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
  • Experience
    • Two years of experience in a perioperative or ambulatory surgical center environment.
  • Certifications
    • Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state licensure.
    • BLS and ACLS certifications required.
    • PALS certification preferred.
