Position Overview:
The RN Pre-op/PACU is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care by utilizing the nursing process, adhering to the medical plan of care, and following organizational protocols. This role focuses on ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered care in the perioperative setting for diverse patient populations. The RN Pre-op/PACU aligns with the mission, vision, and values of the organization and reports directly to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the preoperative and postoperative phases.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes.
- Implement aseptic techniques and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license without restrictions in the state.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in PreOP/PACU and Endoscopy.
- Experience in an ambulatory surgical center is highly desirable.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Strong understanding of surgical procedures and patient management.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing patient conditions.
USPI adheres to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding workforce vaccination mandates. Candidates offered this position must provide proof of vaccination or secure an exemption prior to starting.
