Surgical Care Affiliates is currently in search of a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Preoperative and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to become a vital part of our healthcare team. In this role, you will be instrumental in evaluating and providing care for patients both prior to and following their surgical interventions. Our commitment is to deliver exceptional healthcare services and to ensure optimal recovery outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate preoperative and postoperative patient conditions
  • Create tailored perianesthesia care strategies
  • Execute interventions outlined in care plans
  • Administer acute pain relief and comfort measures
  • Instruct patients and their families on postoperative care
  • Safeguard patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Engage in quality enhancement initiatives
  • Accurately document nursing activities
  • Contribute to team discussions and educational sessions
  • Serve as an advocate for patients
Required Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an Accredited Nursing Program
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Preoperative or PACU settings
  • Valid nursing license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, if relevant
