Position Overview

The Floating Hospital is seeking a dedicated Optometric Technician to enhance our patient care services. This role is vital in supporting our optometric team and ensuring a seamless experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Optometrist in delivering comprehensive patient care and conducting eye examinations.
  • Perform patient screenings and gather detailed medical histories.
  • Administer prescribed eyedrops under the supervision of the Optometrist.
  • Educate patients on eye health and care procedures.
  • Help coordinate appointment scheduling for optimal patient flow.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of examination rooms and medical equipment.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support the team.
Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Previous experience in a similar role as an Optometric Technician is preferred.
  • A keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software.
  • A friendly demeanor and a positive attitude when interacting with patients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a plus.
