Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and diagnose ocular motility disorders, utilizing specialized assessments to measure visual acuity, focusing capabilities, eye movements, binocular function, and color perception, employing advanced ophthalmic instruments.
- Educate ophthalmic technicians, residents, medical students, and fellow physicians on the evaluation and management of sensorimotor disorders.
- Support Pediatric Ophthalmologists in the clinical assessment of patients.
- Gather and analyze medical and ophthalmic histories, review relevant systems, and summarize patient complaints.
- Identify eye disorders in both children and adults that may hinder normal vision.
- Collaborate with physicians on treatment strategies, which may include exercises and techniques aimed at controlling eye movements.
- Utilize specialized lenses, filters, prisms, and instruments to assist patients in correcting their vision.
