- Record Keeping: Ensure precise and current patient documentation, including examination results, treatment strategies, and any alterations in patient conditions, adhering to facility and healthcare regulations.
- Patient Education: Inform residents and their families about eye health, preventive strategies, and the significance of routine eye examinations. Provide training and resources to facility staff on identifying and addressing common vision challenges.

Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid state license as an Optometrist in New York.
- Skill Set: Proficient diagnostic and clinical abilities, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and a dedication to providing empathetic, patient-focused care.
- Knowledge Base: Understanding of prevalent age-related vision challenges and ocular health issues. Experience with electronic health record systems is advantageous.
