Career Overview: As a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) at Catholic Medical Center, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. About the Role: We are seeking an LNA who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and has excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a healthcare setting and possess basic computer keyboarding and data entry skills.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises and repositioning for patients, as directed by the healthcare team.
- Help patients with mobility, including transferring them between beds and wheelchairs.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. Document intake and output records, vital signs, and any care provided.
- Assist with continuous monitoring of patients, including checking monitors and medical equipment.
- Assist in the setup, use, and maintenance of medical equipment such as oxygen tanks, heart monitors, and suction machines.
- Follow protocols to prevent infection, including wearing protective equipment and following hand hygiene guidelines.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a healthcare setting performing similar work activities.
- Basic computer keyboarding and data entry skills required.
- Current registration in the State of New Hampshire as a Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), required.
- BLS certified. Must maintain BLS throughout employment.
