**Job Description:** As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal needs of our students. Your primary responsibilities will include providing academic support, assisting teachers with classroom activities, and supporting students with behavior challenges. In addition, you will communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a smooth day-to-day operation.

About the Position: This is a full-time position, approximately 6.75 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for professional development and career advancement. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be patient and empathetic, and have a strong commitment to working with students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide academic support to students, including homework help and test preparation
  2. Assist teachers with classroom activities, such as lesson planning and data collection
  3. Support students with behavior challenges, using strategies like positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques
  4. Communicate effectively with teachers, students, and parents to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or specialized training preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patient, empathetic, and understanding approach to working with students

Salary and Benefits: The salary range for this position is $16.97 - $21.10/hour (non-certified) or $18.56 - $23.07/hour (certified), depending on qualifications and experience.
