About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team at Altheda Medical Center. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Greeting and Check-in: Greet patients in a professional and welcoming manner, verify and update patient information in our electronic medical system, and collect co-payments.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule appointments, maintain accurate computer scheduling, and coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Answer telephones, screen calls, take messages, and provide information to patients and healthcare providers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Financial Transactions: Collect payments, process cash reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Clerical Support: Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including data entry, filing, and other tasks as needed.
  • Visitor Screening and Response: Screen visitors, respond to routine requests for information, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Closeout Procedures: Gather encounter forms, process daily activities, including coding, batching, billing, and hospital visits.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, excellent communication skills, including writing, speaking, and active listening, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Integrity, adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
