Job Summary:

Advanced Oral Surgery is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the success of our surgeons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Patient Care: Provide pre-operative, surgical assisting, and post-operative care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, team members, and surgeons to ensure seamless coordination and optimal outcomes.
  • Instrument Management: Clean and sterilize instruments and equipment to maintain a high level of hygiene and prevent infection.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Obtain radiographs and images as prescribed by the surgeon, ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Clinical Documentation: Complete patient clinical narratives as directed, maintaining accurate and detailed records of patient care.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as directed by the surgeon or practice management, contributing to the smooth operation of our office.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Dental Assistant: Possess a current license to practice as a dental assistant.
  • CPR/BLS Certification: Hold current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Previous Oral Surgery Experience: Preferably have previous experience in oral surgery, with a strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
  • DAANCE/IV Sedation Certification: Possess DAANCE/IV sedation certification, demonstrating expertise in sedation administration.
