About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Executive to join our Confluent Sales Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for selling Confluent solutions to small and medium-sized enterprises, driving revenue growth and exceeding quarterly sales targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed quarterly sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Participate in the development and presentation of value propositions
  • Comfortable negotiating SaaS/cloud/software contracts
  • Partner with Solutions Engineers and Professional Services to ensure customer success
  • Travel to customer sites to identify and develop sales opportunities
Requirements
  • 2+ years of closing experience in a consultative sales environment
  • Prior experience in Big Data, Cloud, SaaS, Open Source, or Enterprise IT Solutions
  • Understanding of sales process methodologies (i.e. MEDDPICC, Challenger, etc.)
  • Consistent track record of success and history of quota attainment
  • Outstanding communication skills, including strong presentation skills
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • High integrity, intelligence, self-driven, and team player
  • Open to travel to customer locations as needed
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred
