About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Administrative Specialist to join our Global Purchasing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing administrative support to leadership and teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized administrative support to leadership and teams, exercising considerable discretion and independent judgment.
  • Manage the flow of work within your area of responsibility, working with a limited degree of supervision.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and travel arrangements, as well as manage visitor and guest processes.
  • Develop and maintain open channels of communication to help the department understand and utilize information more effectively.
  • Manage complex calendars and time management to support leader and business objectives.
  • Prepare and review reports, as well as ensure employees adhere to company policy requirements.
  • Advocate for Dow's safety behaviors and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional business role, such as administrative assistant, project coordinator, or event coordinator.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
Preferred Skills
  • An Associate Degree or higher and/or 4+ years of relevant Military training.
  • 4+ years' experience in an administrative assistant or similar role.
  • Previous experience with SAP Purchase Orders.
  • Experience with Dow tools, such as Workday, Ariba, Concur, Diamond Systems, File Share Manager, and Diamond Learning.
