We are looking for a skilled and experienced Fuel Systems Engineer to become a vital part of our team at a leading energy facility. This position plays a key role in optimizing the efficiency of our plant's fuel systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for mastering all elements of fuel management and plant operations, acting as the main technical liaison for both plant and mining teams, and providing essential insights on fuel quality and machinery performance.

This role demands ongoing assessment of fuel quality, strategic oversight of fuel extraction and delivery, and involvement in initiatives aimed at improving boiler efficiency.

Furthermore, this individual will oversee multiple projects, deliver daily operational support, and offer technical guidance in addressing operational challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop expertise in all facets of fuel management and plant operations. Act as the primary technical resource for plant and mining personnel, providing support on fuel and operational performance issues.

Offer recommendations to plant and mining teams regarding:

Adjustments and performance metrics of fuel handling systems Data regarding fuel quality and chemical composition Strategic planning for fuel extraction and delivery timelines Long-term strategies for boiler maintenance and performance Scheduling repairs and maintenance activities Continuously assess and respond to variations in fuel quality and chemical composition.

Foster open communication and a collaborative relationship with team members. Engage in studies focused on boiler performance and fuel quality/chemical composition. Assist in the evaluation and testing of equipment. Review systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, availability, load factor, intervals between maintenance, fuel usage, and combustion performance. Identify opportunities for improvement that lower overall operational costs. Hold plant and mining personnel accountable for actions that affect plant performance. Maintain comprehensive records of materials and machinery histories to support the outlined responsibilities. Explore and recommend alternative fuel sources or types, including assessments of logistics and financial implications.

Project management and budgeting Acquisition of labor and material resources through procurement Contractor oversight Construction planning, coordination, inspection, and quality assurance Startup and testing Prepare and conduct training for operations and maintenance staff Complete project documentation and closeout Ensure effective collaboration among various departments, organizations, and vendors Provide daily guidance to operations and maintenance teams Offer technical expertise in resolving operational issues Provide emergency assistance for critical equipment repairs Maintain all necessary qualifications for traversing operational routes. Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (from an ABET accredited institution) EIT certification is preferred Entry Level Role / No Management experience required Related working experience is highly preferred, but not necessary.

Must possess a valid driver's license. Occasional travel may be necessary. No Visa candidates are able to be considered.
