Are you enthusiastic about developing and enhancing transportation infrastructures that positively impact the community? As a new Civil Engineer specializing in Transportation at Houston Engineering, Inc., you will engage in a variety of projects including traffic management, roadway and railway design, geometric configurations, drainage assessments, erosion management, and environmental compliance coordination. The civil engineering initiatives you undertake may involve federal, state, county, and municipal road systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive mentorship and support from experienced Civil Engineers across diverse engineering projects.
  • Conduct revisions on project schematics, extract technical documentation, perform quantity assessments, and assist in estimating project costs.
  • Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with project teams, including CAD specialists, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure projects are completed safely, timely, and to high standards.
  • Assist in client interactions and communications.
  • May involve on-site construction oversight during project execution.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Preferred experience in the design and execution of state Department of Transportation and county highway projects.
  • Familiarity with MicroStation, Geopak, and/or AutoCAD is advantageous.
  • Understanding of relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
