Key Responsibilities:
- Formulates and executes a staffing and retention strategy to fulfill customer needs, including sourcing, interviewing, testing, selection, and final offer recommendations.
- Educates external networks and community members about job openings and requirements.
- Reviews transfer requests and applications to ensure compliance with job requirements.
- Manages job advertisements and coordinates postings through social media and local and corporate job boards.
- Maintains organized filing of applications and oversees necessary purging.
- Responds to employee and applicant inquiries professionally and courteously within 24 hours.
- Ensures timely and effective responses to employee relations issues through counseling and preventative problem-solving with management to mitigate legal risks.
- Conducts climate surveys and feedback sessions; assists in implementing action plans and participates in unemployment hearings.
- Coordinates the Board of Review program, reviews implementation of recommendations, and develops programs with management to address recurring issues.
- Participates in the coordination of annual feedback processes to identify supervisors/managers needing action plans to enhance performance.
- Provides training, education, and guidance on HR practices, policies, and guidelines, including new hire orientation, performance management, career planning, and behavioral interviewing.
- Develops and conducts training programs for supervisory and management development, career advancement, tuition reimbursement, and internships.
- Acts as an internal consultant to assist management in identifying organizational challenges and the role of training in resolving these issues.
- Prepares and maintains training records and manuals.
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of training and development initiatives.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Represents the company positively and encourages others to do the same.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred. PHR/SPHR certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Human Resources or recruitment/external search is required, with prior external recruitment experience (e.g., job fairs, community relations, and placement).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills with external agencies, vendors, customers, and all employee levels.
- Ability to implement, coordinate, and conduct training sessions.
- Flexibility in work schedule is essential.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills, with fluency in English.
- Proficient in using personal computers and relevant software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
- Ability to remain calm and make rational decisions in emergency situations involving co-workers, guests, and vendors.
- Physical ability to stand and walk for the entire shift and navigate the property effectively.
- Physically capable of pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 20 lbs., and performing various physical tasks as required.
- Must be able to respond to visual and auditory cues.
- Must tolerate environments with secondhand smoke, varying noise levels, temperature fluctuations, and crowds.
