Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a staffing and retention strategy to fulfill customer needs, including sourcing, interviewing, testing, selection, and final offer recommendations.
- Educate external networks and community members about job openings and requirements.
- Review transfer requests and applications to ensure they meet job criteria.
- Post job advertisements as needed and coordinate postings through social media and job boards.
- Maintain organized filing of applications and ensure timely purging.
- Respond to employee and applicant inquiries in a professional manner within 24 hours.
- Address employee relations issues promptly through counseling and preventative problem-solving with management.
- Conduct climate surveys and feedback sessions; assist in implementing action plans and participate in unemployment hearings.
- Oversee the Board of Review program, implement recommendations, and develop programs to address recurring issues.
- Coordinate annual feedback sessions to identify supervisors/managers needing performance improvement plans.
- Provide training and guidance on HR practices, policies, and programs, including new hire orientation and performance management.
- Design and conduct training programs for supervisory and management development, career advancement, and internship opportunities.
- Act as an internal consultant to assist management in identifying organizational challenges and implementing training solutions.
- Maintain training records and manuals.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training and development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Represent the company positively and encourage others to do the same.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred. PHR/SPHR certification is a plus.
- At least one year of experience in Human Resources or recruitment, including external search experience.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills with external agencies, vendors, and all employee levels.
- Capability to implement and conduct training programs.
- Flexibility in work schedule.
- Proficient in oral and written communication, fluent in English.
- Proficient in using personal computers and software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
- Ability to remain calm and make rational decisions in emergency situations.
- Physical mobility to perform job duties, including lifting and moving items up to 20 lbs.
- Ability to respond to visual and auditory cues.
- Tolerance for environments with secondhand smoke, varying noise levels, and crowds.
