Position Summary: We are in search of a driven and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality assurance and food safety efforts at our facility. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring that our products adhere to stringent quality standards and comply with all applicable regulations, including FSMA, HACCP, and HARPC. This role demands strong leadership skills, accountability in achieving quality goals, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and uphold comprehensive quality assurance protocols across all operations.
  • Ensure adherence to FSMA, HACCP, and HARPC regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate quality systems, identify areas for improvement, and execute corrective measures.
  • Lead the food safety team and manage external audits and inspections.
  • Collaborate with various departments to set and meet quality objectives.
  • Educate and train staff on quality standards, food safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop quality assurance training programs for key personnel.
  • Analyze quality performance metrics to foster continuous improvement.
  • Address customer complaints and non-conformances with corrective and preventive actions.
  • Review design documentation for compliance with quality requirements.
  • Maintain documentation related to quality assurance and food safety activities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and regulatory updates.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or relevant experience (3+ years) in quality management within the food sector, ideally in seed or agricultural products.
  • In-depth knowledge of FSMA, HACCP, and HARPC regulations.
  • Preferred certification in HACCP and/or HARPC.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in conducting audits and managing regulatory inspections.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

Additional Information: This role reports directly to the Director of Quality and requires a proactive, hands-on approach to quality assurance and food safety. The Quality Assurance Manager will be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and safety standards, contributing to the overall success and reputation of Red River Commodities.
