Position Summary: We are in search of a driven and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality assurance and food safety programs at our facility. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guaranteeing that our products adhere to stringent quality standards and comply with all applicable regulations, including FSMA, HACCP, and HARPC. This position demands strong leadership skills, accountability in achieving quality goals, and a commitment to ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish, implement, and uphold comprehensive quality assurance protocols for all operations.
  • Ensure adherence to FSMA, HACCP, and HARPC regulations and standards.
  • Conduct regular internal audits and inspections to evaluate quality systems, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
  • Lead the food safety team and coordinate external audits and site visits.
  • Collaborate with various departments to set and meet quality objectives.
  • Educate and train staff on quality standards, food safety practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Design and deliver quality assurance training programs for key personnel.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics to foster continuous improvement.
  • Address customer complaints and non-conformances with appropriate corrective actions.
  • Review design documentation for compliance with quality requirements.
  • Manage quality assurance documentation and records.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices in quality management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or equivalent experience (3+ years) in quality management within the food sector, ideally in seed or agricultural products.
  • In-depth knowledge of FSMA, HACCP, and HARPC regulations and their application in food safety and quality management.
  • Preferred certification in HACCP and/or HARPC.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, demonstrating strong accountability.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in conducting audits and managing regulatory inspections.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.

Additional Information: This role reports directly to the Director of Quality and requires a proactive, hands-on approach to quality assurance and food safety. The Quality Assurance Manager will be instrumental in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and safety standards, contributing to the overall success and reputation of Red River Commodities.
