About the Operations Control Center (OCC) Team:

The Operations Control Center (OCC) is an integral part of our Operations division, dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of our global operations. The OCC team is committed to delivering 24/7 support, ensuring that all operational activities are conducted safely and meet client expectations. The team is composed of four specialized sub-teams: Emergency Hotline, Operations Support, Operations Improvements, and Supply Chain Management. In this position, you will join the Emergency Hotline team, collaborating with a diverse group of Technical Support Engineers across various locations.

Your Responsibilities:

Your primary role is to support operational areas by minimizing downtime of our fleet of motion compensated gangway systems. You will work in shifts around the clock, ensuring that our services are available at all times. As the first point of contact for offshore colleagues during emergencies, you will assist in resolving situations safely. When systems are non-operational, you will remotely troubleshoot issues, having received extensive training from your peers. Additionally, you will be involved in modifying existing software packages and deploying upgrades globally, both onshore and occasionally offshore. You will also play a crucial role in managing, mentoring, and motivating your team members, fostering their development and engagement with innovative practices.

Key Activities:

  • Overseeing troubleshooting efforts by guiding offshore personnel, ensuring work safety, and communicating downtime status to internal and external clients.
  • Reducing downtime by identifying challenges and proposing effective solutions.
  • Collaborating with other departments to address operational and technical issues successfully.
  • Conducting project meetings and preparing regular updates to inform stakeholders about project progress.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and enhancement of our systems and software, both onshore and occasionally offshore.
  • Continuously updating your knowledge regarding relevant technologies.
  • Coaching and inspiring team members to align their development with company objectives.

Qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience for senior-level candidates.
  • Knowledge or a genuine interest in hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with PLC control systems, preferably Siemens STEP 7 and/or TIA.
  • Flexibility and proactivity, with a willingness to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to maintain composure and a clear overview of tasks under time constraints.
  • Independent, responsible, and accountable attitude, as your direct manager is located outside of the US.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Must reside in the US or have authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.

Benefits:

  • A dynamic work environment that embraces innovation and change.
  • A high degree of responsibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact.
  • Attractive secondary benefits, including an annual bonus, flexible working arrangements, and 20 vacation days on a full-time basis.
  • Access to a Client Academy for all your personal and professional development needs.
